History
Founded in 2006, ADC has sporadically won local and state-level seats without a national breakthrough. Its current phase began when Ralph Nwosu-era leaders stepped aside for a coalition leadership led by David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola. The party remains legally contested after the June 15-17, 2026 deregistration dispute, but CivicNG treats it as active while the appellate stay and INEC listing remain in force.
